Safety Info

 

With regards to all of the Fizz ‘n’ Foam product range, please be aware of the following information and retain your advice leaflet provided as a reference guide

Coconut Oil / Almond Oil - A reaction may occur in users who suffer from nut allergies. If unsure please enquire for details on the product as they can be made without these oils if required. Products include, Face Scrub, Body Butter, Organic Soap Bases and Bath/Foot Salts.

Essential Oils - Contra-indications

Lavender - Can be used directly on the skin, toxic when swallowed in quantity, do not use during early pregnancy or if you are taking anti-epileptic drugs

Rose - When diluted there is no irritation, sensitisation or phototoxicity

Jasmine - Non toxic or irritant but can cause allergic reactions. Do not use for babies, infants or in pregnancy

 Lemon - Generally non toxic. Could cause skin irritation and light sensitivity in some people

Chamomile - Non toxic and non irritant but may cause dermatitis. Do not use in pregnancy

Benzoin -  Non toxic, non irritant but can cause possible sensitisation due to the solvents used

Bergamot - Can make skin sensitive to sunlight so can cause burns more easily on exposed skin.

Geranium - When diluted, causes few problems, although sensitive skin may be irritated by it. As a rule it is non toxic and non irritant 

Carrot Seed -  Non toxic, non irritant and non sensitising

Ylang Ylang - Can cause nausea and headaches if used over long periods. Used in moderation it is not toxic or irritant, although some people are sensitive to it. Avoid in early pregnancy

Mandarin - Non toxic, non irritant, non sensitising but slightly phototoxic

Peppermint - When diluted is neither toxic nor irritant but may cause allergic reactions in some people. Its powerful smell disrupts homeopathic treatments and can affect normal sleep if used in the evening. Avoid in early pregnancy

Tea Tree - Can be used safely in undiluted form on the skin but can cause occasional sensitivity, otherwise it is non toxic and non irritant

Eucalyptus - Do not use it for babies or young children. Toxic if consumed and can cause allergic skin reactions. Flammable. Safe and non toxic when used externally at proper dilutions. Avoid in early pregnancy

Sweet Orange - Non toxic, if used undiluted on the skin, can cause phototoxicity on exposure to direct sunlight. Can cause dermatitis in some people.

Safety Information

 If pregnant seek advice before using essential oils. Avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas. Keep out of reach of children. External use only. Do not store products in direct sunlight. If reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately. If you have any known allergies to any of the above essential oils, please do not use. Certain products if used in the bath, may make bath slippery.
